Queanbeyan’s 175th Birthday – Proclamation Day Celebrations
Saturday September 28th

A parade with the theme of 175 years of Transport will start the day’s events and will commence at approximately 11:00am.

Following the parade, the day’s activities will take place beside the Queanbeyan River in Ray Morton Park, Wanniassa Park and Queen Elizabeth Park.

11:00-11:45am* Parade showcasing 175 years of Transport

11:00am-4:00pm* Static transport display

12.00-1.00pm* Formalities – Smoking Ceremony; Welcome to country; Opening of Sensory Gardens; Tree planting; Cake Cutting

12:00-5:00pm* Entertainment and food stalls including indigenous games and other traditional children’s games

5:00-7:00pm* Concert

7:00pm* Fireworks (river bank)

7:30pm* Gala Dinner Dance
